Mary Ann holds a BA in Mathematics with an Elementary Education emphasis and an MA in Special Education, both from the University of Northern Colorado. She has spent nearly her entire teaching career at Havern, where she has grown from co-teacher to lead teacher to Middle School Coordinator and Transition Coordinator — a trajectory that speaks for itself. Before Havern, she taught first and second grade and middle school math at Presentation of Our Lady. What keeps her here is the community: the way parents, staff, and families genuinely partner together, the students who show up every day and do the hardest things most adults would never attempt, and the love that can be felt throughout the building long after students have moved on. Mary Ann considers herself fortunate to have been part of so many students' success stories. Outside of school, she's crafting (sewing, embroidery, bedazzling anything she can get her hands on), cheering on the Denver Broncos, soaking up sun near the water, and laughing as much as possible.
