RBT will provide behavioral and instructional support to k-5th grade students with an autism diagnosis or similar behavior challenges. The RBT will implement programming and behavior intervention based on the student’s individualized plan created by the student’s classroom teacher and BCBA. The classroom RBT will work with a variety of students across all grades.
Responsibilities
● Work 7:45am -3:45pm Monday - Friday
● Implement both skill acquisition programming and maladaptive behavior intervention to students’ kindergarten through 5th grade.
● Know student intervention plans and implement behavior intervention plans throughout the day with fidelity ● Provide support to students that are working on learning to learn skills within the classroom
● Provide modeling of behavior intervention plans when needed with new team members
● Collect consistent data on student’s behavior or academic goals
● Regular meetings with BCBA and Classroom teacher to communicate challenges, progress and ideas to increase success in the classroom
● Complete documentation by deadlines including but not limited to timesheets, client documentation, etc. ● Create visuals or instructional materials for students at BCBA, or teacher’s, request
● Follow all HAP and Havern policies ● Maintain a positive attitude and supportive work environment
● Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies
● High School Diploma
● Willingness to become CDE licensed with Substitute license
● Bachelor’s degree preferred
● At least 18 years old
● Current Registered Behavior Technician certification in good standing with BACB
● At least 6 months working as an RBT implementing behavior intervention with children 5-12 years old
● Preferred 1 year working in a school setting
● Stellar written and verbal communication skills
● Professional, excellent with taking feedback and applying it, strong work ethic
● Works well in a fast-paced environment
● Ability to adjust energy level based on the environment

Compensation
This position runs 10 months of the year with a 12 month contract. This is a full-time EXEMPT position. Annual salary range 36,000-39,000/ year.
Salary is negotiable based on experience and/or additional qualifications.

One-on-One BT will provide behavioral and instructional support for a student in our K - 5th program with an autism diagnosis or similar behavior challenges. The BT will implement programming and behavior intervention based on the student’s individualized plan created by the student’s classroom teacher and BCBA. The one-on-one RBT will work mainly with one student, but also support all students in the classroom at times.
Responsibilities

Implement both skill acquisition programming and maladaptive behavior intervention to a student in a K-5th autism classroom and small groups.
Know the student’s intervention plan and implement behavior responses throughout the day
Provide support to classroom teachers when student is struggling and needs extra support with academic work
Provide direction based on behavior intervention plans when new team members come on board
Collect consistent data on student’s behavior or academic goals
Regular meetings with BCBA and Classroom teacher to communicate challenges, progress and ideas
Complete documentation by deadlines including but not limited to data collection, client documentation, etc.
Create visuals or instructional materials for student at BCBA, or teacher’s, request
Follow all ASD program and Havern policies
Maintain a positive attitude and supportive work environment
Qualifications and Competencies
High School Diploma
Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 18 years old
Willingness to complete Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training
Preferred at least 1 year working as an RBT OR similar position implementing behavior intervention with children 5-10 years old
Preferred 1 year working in a school setting
History of excellent attendance
Stellar written and verbal communication skills
Professional, excellent with taking feedback and applying it, strong work ethic
Works well in a fast-paced environment

Havern School creates confident learners by nurturing the potential of students with neurodiverse learning profiles through specialized, small group instruction and integrated therapies.HAP has a special education teacher position open for our Specialty School classroom. We serve autistic students in multi-grade classrooms that span kindergarten through 5th grade. Teachers oversee a maximum of 6-7 students. Each class is supported by a Registered Behavior Technician as needed to maintain a 3:1 student to teacher ratio. Students break into skill based groups for academics.
Responsibilities:
Plan, modify and deliver grade or skill based instruction as provided by the student’s Individualized Education Program or Colorado State Standards.
Ensure efficiency and quality of instruction delivery
Work closely with HAP BCBA to ensure intervention and skill acquisition plans are applicable and manageable in a classroom setting
Provide coverage for classroom staff as needed
Build students’ confidence and self-esteem as you come to know them as learners and individuals
Meet quarterly with Lead Sped Teacher and Director of HAP to discuss program successes and challenges and receive feedback
Ensure classrooms are orderly, organized and equipped to meet the needs of the program and students, and present a professional appearance to the community
Communicate with families via conferences, phone conversations, emails and ensure other monthly information is sent regarding classroom activities (calendars, newsletters, etc.)
Maintain student notes, anecdotal records, observations, work samples, and any appropriate assessments
Complete student progress reports three times annually: October, February, and May
Assume full responsibility for organizing, scheduling and participating in parent-teacher-student conferences at a minimum of three times annually
Document reports, discipline, student health and other professional correspondence as appropriate
Attend regular faculty meetings and other team or school-wide meetings as needed
Take advantage of professional development opportunities and remain current with CO state teaching license, educational research, and best practices
Engage in self-assessment and work towards professional goals and professional growth
Play an active role in the admissions process through classroom visits, observations, and events
Participate fully in the life of the school by contributing to and attending school events, supporting advancement/development efforts, and being a representative of the school
Promote enrollment for the school internally and externally
Support the school and its leadership
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in special education, Master’s degree preferred
Active Special Education Colorado Teacher License required
Specific training and experience in the area of autism spectrum disorder
The ability to work collaboratively with other service providers so as to implement learning and behavior plans with fidelity.
