ABOUT THE ROLE:
Havern School and the Havern Autism Program (HAP) are seeking a speech-language pathologist to support students with learning disabilities and autism. This role may be full-time or part-time (2–5 days/week), depending on candidate availability and program needs. This position follows the school calendar, with salary and benefits distributed evenly over 12 months. If 5 days a week, it is 186 days.
The SLP provides direct services, collaborates with faculty, and plays a key role in a multidisciplinary team that includes teachers, mental health providers, occupational therapists, and behavior specialists. The ideal candidate brings creativity, compassion, and deep respect for neurodiverse learners.
ABOUT HAVERN SCHOOL:
Havern School creates confident learners by nurturing the potential of students with neurodiverse learning profiles through specialized, small-group instruction and integrated therapies.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Providing direct speech-language therapy to students (small group, classroom, or 1:1)
Serving neurodiverse learners in grades K-8, including students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 2)
Conducting assessments, analyzing results, writing reports, and setting functional goals
Designing strength-based, child- and family-centered treatment plans
Collaborating with teachers on modifications, strategies, and generalization of skills
Leading weekly social skills groups
Participating in team meetings and maintaining close communication with families
Managing materials and therapy spaces
Staying current with best practices in the field
Attending occasional school events outside regular school hours
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Colorado licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or qualify to complete Clinical Fellowship
Minimum 2 years of experience in a school setting preferred
Experience with language-based learning disabilities preferred
Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practices and whole-child education
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Collaborative, compassionate, and student-centered mindset
Salary Range: $60,000–$80,000 (prorated if part-time)Compensation and benefits are based on a school-year schedule and distributed over 12 months.

One-on-One BT will provide behavioral and instructional support for a student in our K - 5th program with an autism diagnosis or similar behavior challenges. The BT will implement programming and behavior intervention based on the student’s individualized plan created by the student’s classroom teacher and BCBA. The one-on-one RBT will work mainly with one student, but also support all students in the classroom at times.Responsibilities
Work 7:45 am -3:45 pm Monday - Friday
Implement both skill acquisition programming and maladaptive behavior intervention to a student in a K-5th autism classroom and small groups.
Know the student’s intervention plan and implement behavior responses throughout the day
Provide support to classroom teachers when student is struggling and needs extra support with academic work
Provide direction based on behavior intervention plans when new team members come on board
Collect consistent data on student’s behavior or academic goals
Regular meetings with BCBA and Classroom teacher to communicate challenges, progress and ideas
Complete documentation by deadlines including but not limited to data collection, client documentation, etc.
Create visuals or instructional materials for student at BCBA, or teacher’s, request
Follow all ASD program and Havern policies
Maintain a positive attitude and supportive work environment
Qualifications and Competencies
High School Diploma
Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 18 years old
Willingness to complete Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training
Preferred at least 1 year working as an RBT OR similar position implementing behavior intervention with children 5-10 years old
Preferred 1 year working in a school setting
Stellar written and verbal communication skills
Professional, excellent with taking feedback and applying it, strong work ethic
Works well in a fast-paced environment
Ability to adjust energy level based on the environment

Follow all HAP and Havern policies
Maintain a positive attitude and supportive work environment
Qualifications and Competencies
High School Diploma
Willingness to become CDE licensed with Substitute license
Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 18 years old
Current Registered Behavior Technician certification in good standing with BACB
At least 6 months working as an RBT implementing behavior intervention with children 5-12 years old
Preferred 1 year working in a school setting
Stellar written and verbal communication skills

This position runs 10 months of the year with a 12 month contract. This is a full-time EXEMPT position. Annual salary range 36,000-39,000/ year.

Havern School is seeking a grounds/maintenance person for its 12 acre grounds and 94,000 square foot building. Responsibilities will fluctuate between the two areas depending on priorities, but will include:
Monitor condition of landscape and grounds, performing routine pruning, cleanup, and overall upkeep.
Ensure all grounds equipment and machines are in good repair
Act as liaison with vendors for janitorial services, mowing, tree care, irrigation, pest control and chemical treatments
Assist teachers and staff with logistical issues as assigned
Maintain sidewalks in safe condition during winter, using motorized and manual equipment, and salt/sand as necessary
Non-specialized skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, finishing, painting and other basic maintenance fields will be necessary
Manage time effectively
Respond to work order assignments in timely manner
Ability to be trained to contribute to the security posture of the school, and to be versed in emergency response as identified in the employee handbook.
Ability to become versed in techniques for safely handling hazardous materials such as bodily fluids and chemicals.
Receive training in our asbestos management plan, and respond appropriately.
Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000, dependent on experience
This is a hands-on, permanent, full time, non-exempt position with benefits. Havern is a K-8 independent school for children with learning disabilities. Background check required.
