Students get back into small groups for Math time

Half of the class goes to SPOT (combined Speech/Occupational Therapy), while the other half of the class goes to the digital classroom. They rotate halfway through the time. Today in SPOT, students are climbing!

A Monday in a Lower School Classroom

With a high five from Mrs. P, students race into the building, ready for a great day at school.

The school days begin with a morning meeting. The students join their teacher on the carpet to discuss their daily schedule, share about their weekend, and practice some academic skills. This is a community building time, with some social skills and academics added in.

It is reading time in room 7!  Students will rotate with their group between three stations, working on skills like sounding out words (decoding), spelling (encoding), and comprehension.  Students do another reading group after recess.

Lunch time in the community room! Students enjoy chatting with friends in other classes, telling jokes and talking about their weekend.

Quiet reading time for a few minutes, as well as some one on one time with teachers.

Students get back into small groups for Math time, each group working on the skills they need to learn! Students use lots of hands on manipulatives to learn new material.
